What is the Backyard Pickleball Bash (BPB)?

BPB is a revolutionary sports + festival mashup that brings pickleball back to its authentic roots, the backyard, while providing a unique and entertaining experience for casual to moderate pickleball players and playful partiers. Here, you're immersed in the tastes, music, games, and great vibes of a close friend's backyard.

What if Pickleball Isn’t My Thing? 

Do you enjoy competition? Relaxing? Hanging Out? The BPB has it all--join us for the most incredible festival tour celebrating backyard vibes! The Bash unites athletes, artists, and spectators who love sharing good times. You can take a dip in the pool, groove to the music and grab a tasty treat and a cold beverage.

Is this a Pickleball tournament?

No, this is not a tournament - it’s a backyard bash with lots of pickleball including mini brackets, original games, skills contests, coaching clinics and how-to sessions – all celebrating pickleball’s playful competitiveness. Have fun, hang out with friends (old & new!) and win cool prizes (and, of course, bragging rights). We’ll also have plenty of great food, backyard games, and live music & entertainment to round out this backyard bash. 

Why not a tournament?

It's important to know we LOVE competition. If you like to play to win, come on in. We believe handicapped elimination tournaments are limiting and frankly getting a bit boring. If tournaments are a must for you, try our " Mini-brackets” based on general skill-set, not rankings. Games will be competitive and open to all ages within the skill-set, because 70’s granddads love crushing 20 year-old Chads. Because they have smaller player pools, our "Minis" are built for speed, and make up only a small portion of the festival’s playful competition. 

Who is coming?

Today, we are calling all pink flamingos. Those who believe in big ideas, play boldly, dare to be different, believe in others more than themselves, and seek comfort in discomfort. Pink flamingos flock together as a symbol of standing out, embracing uniqueness, and being unapologetically audacious. So, join us as we embark on this exciting journey to be part of something extraordinary. 🦩

What are the festival run times?

Gates open at 8:00am, and the festival ends at 8:00pm. Pool party starts at 1:00pm.

What’s included in the VIP ticket?

Prioritized comfort and convenience. Our commitment to providing a seamless experience extends to the luxury touches & details. As one of our besties, expect surprises & delights as you enjoy the day with us. 

VIP tickets include access to an exclusive lounge that includes cooling areas, premium shade/seating, full cash bar, and complimentary bites, plus VIP parking. VIP tickets also include entrance to Pool Party + Priority Access to premium competitions such as Beat the Pro, Battle Royale and other can't miss action.

Will parking be available?

Free parking will be available.

Can I bring kids?

Yes, we have a few ourselves so the more the merrier! We have no KiddieZone, however. Children 10 & under receive free admission with a ticketed adult. Kids 11-15 (AKA, the “Big Kids Table”) will require their own paid ticket.

What am I allowed to bring with me?

Your competitive spirit and your playfulness!

Pragmatically - bags (purses, totes and backpacks with pickleball stuff) and one refillable water bottle are allowed, and will be subject to search upon entry. No other outside food or beverages will be allowed. Lawn chairs will be permitted. 

Please leave Rover at home - sorry, no pets allowed .

What happens if it rains?

Your safety is our greatest priority. While this is an outdoor event, we will do our best to remain agile and schedule as much fun as humanly possible over the course of the festival. Covered courts will be used for some activities. No refunds will be given.

Terms & Conditions:

No Refunds or Exchanges. Ticket purchases for the event are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. This policy applies regardless of the circumstances leading to a request for a refund or exchange.

In the event of cancellation of the event, the specific refund policy will be determined based on the nature and timing of the cancellation. The resale or attempted resale of tickets at a price higher than that appearing on the ticket is strictly prohibited. Tickets found to have been resold at a higher price may be voided without refund. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotion (including contests and sweepstakes) or other trade purposes without the express written consent of Management. Passes lost or stolen cannot be replaced. Ticket holders are responsible for the safekeeping of their tickets.

Tickets for outdoor events are purchased at the risk of inclement weather. This event is rain or shine barring any extreme weather or venue closures. Pets are not permitted. This ticket grants a revocable license to the bearer and the bearer may be removed at any time for any reason. Your event ticket is a revocable license for the event date listed. BPB Fest, Inc. reserves the right, without the refund of any portion of the ticket purchase price, to refuse admission or to eject any person who fails to comply with the rules of the venue, local, state or federal law or whose conduct is deemed illegal, disorderly, or offensive by management. Persons entering the facility are subject to search for contraband, alcohol, controlled substances, weapons, firearms, fireworks, video equipment, or professional recording devices, all of which are expressly forbidden, and subject to confiscation.

Optional Refundable Booking protection is available during the purchase process with our ticketing partner, Ticketbud, via “RefundProtect” for a nominal fee. Upgrade your booking and receive a 100% refund if you cannot attend for one of the reasons outlined below or for one of the many reasons outlined in the RefundProtect Terms and Conditions here, which you accept when you select a Refundable Booking at checkout.

Reasons covered under Refundable Booking include:

- Sickness, Accident, Injury;

- Public transport failure;

- Private vehicle failure;

- Emergency services recall;

- Home emergency;

- Immediate relative sickness;

- Pre-existing medical conditions;

- And many more scenarios as outlined in the RefundProtect Terms and Conditions.

If you are not interested in Refundable Booking, simply decline this offer during checkout. Ticket purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable otherwise. By completing this purchase and attending Backyard Pickleball Bash, you, on behalf of yourself, any invitees, and ticket users, voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19, or any other disease, and personal injury incidental to the event, whether occurring before, during, or after the event. Ticket purchaser/user bears all risks, including cancellation of the event or inclement weather. Passes lost or stolen cannot be replaced.

As a condition of my ticket purchase and attendance participation for each ticket holder/user in the Event, I hereby grant BPB Fest, Inc. and host organizations a limited license to use my name, likeness, image, photograph, voice, video, biographical and other information (collectively, “Likeness”), in any media platform or format whatsoever, and to distribute, broadcast and exhibit these without charge, restriction or liability, but only for the purposes of advertising or promoting the Event. The foregoing grant, however, does not constitute consent for any third party to use my Likeness in an endorsement of any product or service without my specific written consent.
